A Japanese cult favourite since 1957, Bigen Permanent Powder is the original water-activated dye trusted globally for stubborn greys and richly pigmented colour on coarse, resistant or textured hair. Each sachet contains a fine mineral-pigment powder that you mix with warm water into a smooth paste — no developer, no peroxide bottle, no second sachet. It penetrates the cuticle with low odour and minimal scalp tingle, leaving a true tone-on-tone result that washes out only with the hair's own growth. One of the most economical permanent dyes on the market, a single sachet covers a full short-to-medium head and can be split for root touch-ups. Suitable for natural hair, locs, beards (in Bigen Men variants) and previously chemically treated hair when used with care.

Do I need to mix it with peroxide or a developer?
No — only warm water. That is what makes Bigen unusual. The oxidising agent is already inside the powder.

How long does the colour last?
